Abstract

Poliakrilati su izuzetno postojani na djelovanje atmosfere, svjetla, kisika, kiselina i lužina, te se najviše upotrebljavaju kao zaštitni premazi, ljepila ili lakovi. TiO2 punilo se najčešće koristi kao bijeli pigment, zbog svog visokog difrakcijskog indeksa i sposobnosti reflektiranja svjetlosti i visoke otpornosti na UV zračenje (rutilni kristalni oblik). Polimerni nanokompoziti predstavljaju polimerne materijale koji sadrže nanopunila, pa se definiraju kao višefazni sustavi u kojima je kontinuirana faza polimerna matrica, a diskontinuirana faza anorganska komponenta. Korištenje nanopunila za poboljšanje svojstava polimera dovelo je do razvoja polimernih nanokompozita koji imaju jedinstvena mehanička, električna, optička, kemijska i magnetska svojstva. U ovom radu pripravljeni su filmovi iz poliakrilatne (PAK) emulzije te PAK/TiO2 emulzija s 1% nemodificiranog TiO2 punila i TiO2 nanopunila modificiranog različitim vrstama silana, kationskim inicijatorom te neionskim emulgatorom. Ispitivan je utjecaj dodatka punila kao i utjecaj modifikacije površine punila na svojstva filmova PAK filma nakon izlaganja filmova UV zračenja. Toplinska svojstava filmova istraživana su tehnikama; diferencijalna pretražna kalorimetrija (DSC) i termogravimetrijska analiza (TGA), a mehanička svojstva rasteznim ispitvanjem na mehaničkoj kidalici. Rezultati su pokazali da filmovi s 1% nemodificiranog i modificiranog TiO2 punila imaju staklište niže od sobne temperature. Dodatak 1% nemodificranog i modificiranog TiO2 punila djeluje na poboljšanje toplinske stabilnosti PAK matrice. PAK matrica i PAK/TiO2 filmovi nakon provedenog UV zračenja imaju svojstva plastomernih materijala. Dodatak TiO2 punila uzrokuje sniženje prekidne čvrstoće u odnosu na čistu PAK matricu, međutim povećava prekidno istezanje.

Abstract (english)

Polyacrylates are extremely resistant to the action of atmosphere, light, oxygen, acids and alkalis, and are most used as protective coatings, adhesives or varnishes. The TiO2 filler is most often used as white pigment, due to its high diffraction index and ability to reflect light and high resistance to UV radiation (ruthenium crystal form). Polymeric nanocomposites represent polymeric materials containing nanofiller, and are defined as multiphase systems in which the continuous phase is polymer matrix, and the discontinuous phase is inorganic filler. Use of the nanofiller to improve polymer properties has led to the development of polymer nanocomposites which have unique mechanical, electrical, optical, chemical and magnetic properties. In this work films from polyacrylate (PAK) emulsions and PAK / TiO2 emulsions with 1% unmodified TiO2 fillers and TiO2 modified by various silans, with cation initiator and non-ion emulsifier are prepared. The effects of filler addition as well as the influence of surface filler modification on the properties of PAK films after exposure to UV radiation were investigated. Thermal properties of films were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and the mechanical properties by tensile test. The results showed that films with 1% of unmodified and modified TiO2 fillers had a glass transition temperature lower than room temperature. Adding 1% of non-modified and modified TiO2 fillers improve the thermal stability of the PAK matrix. PAK matrix and PAK/TiO2 film after UV radiation have properties of plastomer materials. The addition of TiO2 filler cause lowering of strength at break comparing to PAK matrix, but it increases the elongation at break.
