Abstract

U okviru ovog rada predviđena je sinteza novih hidroksi supstituiranih derivata benzamida
kao potencijalnih antioksidansa. Prema ranijim istraživanjima derivati benzamida imaju širok
spektar biološkog djelovanja te se i dalje intenzivno istražuju. Za pripravu ciljanih molekula
korištene su klasične metode organske sinteze. Višestupnjevitom linearnom sintezom
priređeni su odgovarajući prekursori, 2-amino-5-cijanobenzimidazol 6 i 2-amino-6-
cijanobenzotiazol 19. Kondenzacijom 2,4-dimetoksibenzoil-klorida 14 i odgovarajućeg amina
priređen je 2,4-dimetoksi-N-(6-cijanobenzotiazol-2-il)benzamid 21. Nakon djelomično
uspješnog uklanjanja zaštitnih skupina, Pinnerovom reakcijom priređen je 2-hidroksi-4-
metoksi-N-[6-(2-imidazolinil)-benzotiazol-2-il)]benzamid 26. Tijek Pinnerove reakcije praćen
je IR spektroskopijom. Strukture priređenih spojeva potvrđene su 1H i 13C NMR
spektroskopijom.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this study was the synthesis of novel hydroxy substitued benzamide derivatives as
a potential antioxidans. According to previous research, benzamide derivatives have a broad
spectrum of biological activities and therefore are a subject of intensive scientific research.
Classical organic chemistry methods were used for preparation of targeted compounds.
Required precursors, 2-amino-5-cyanobenzimidazole 6 i 2-amino-6-cyanobenzotiazole 19
were prepared by using multi-step linear synthesis. In the condensation of 2,4-
dimethoxybenzoil-chloride 14 and corresponding amine, 2,4-dimethoxy-N-(6-
cyanobenzothiazol-2-yl)benzamide 21 was prepared. After the partial successful removal of
protection groups, 2-hydroxy-4-methoxy-N-[6-(2-imidazolinyl)-benzothiazol-2-yl)]benzamide
26 was prepared in the Pinner reaction. The Pinner reaction was monitored by IR
spectroscopy. The structures of all newly prepare compounds were confirmed by means of 1H
and 13C NMR spectroscopy.
