Abstract

Desulfurizacija dizelskog goriva podrazumijeva proces uklanjanja sumporovih spojeva iz dizelskih goriva. Sumporovi spojevi predstavljaju danas veliku opasnost za zdravlje ljudi, kao i za okoliš. Zbog toga se zakonska ograničenja vezana uz dozvoljeni sadržaj sumpora u gorivu neprestano pooštravaju. Dosad je najrašireniji proces hidrodesulfurizacije, koji se temelji na uporabi vodika i visokim radnim uvjetima. Međutim, veliki troškovi i ograničena učinkovitost tog procesa rezultirali su razvojem novih, alternativnih procesa desulfurizacije kao što su: ekstrakcijska desulfurizacija, adsorpcijska desulfurizacija, biodesulfurizacija i oksidacijska desulfurizacija. Oksidacijska desulfurizacija smatra se isplativom tehnologijom zbog visoke učinkovitosti i malih troškova, međutim nedostatak joj je stvaranje tzv. „sulfonskog“ otpada. Rješenje tog problema ostvareno je kombinacijom ODS procesa s adsorpcijom, koja predstavlja obećavajuću tehnologiju jer može postići jako veliku konverziju i time ostvariti zahtjeve dizelskog goriva s ultra niskim sadržajem sumpora.

Abstract (english)

The desulfurization of diesel fuel includes the process of removing sulfur compounds from diesel fuel. Nowadays, sulfur compounds represent a hazard for the health of people and for the environment. That is the reason why the restriction related to an acceptable amount of sulfur in fuels are becoming more and more severe. By now the hydrodesulfurization based on use of hydrogen and high operating conditions is the most common process. However, huge costs and limited efficiency of the process resulted in the development of new alternative processes of desulfurization such as: extractive desulfurization, adsorptive desulfurization, biodesulfurization and oxidative desulfurization. But the oxidative desulfurization is considered as cost effective technology because of a high efficiency and low costs. On the other hand the only failing is creating of a ''sulfone'' waste. The solution of that problem is a combination of the ODS process with adsorption which represents a promising technology because it can obtain pretty high conversion and in that way it can carry out the requirements of ultra low sulfur diesel.
