Abstract

Iskorištavanje vodnih potencijala datira unatrag nekoliko tisućljeća. Izrada elektromotora i vodnih turbina omogućila je djelotvornije iskorištavanje vode u svrhu dobivanja električne energije. Upravo su hidroelektrane postrojenja koja koriste potencijalnu i/ili kinetičku energiju vode i u kojima, ovisno o neto padu turbine i raspoloživoj količini vode, dolazi do transformacije navedenih oblika energije u mehaničku, te konačno u električnu energiju. Hidroelektrane, odnosno hidroenergija spada u obnovljive izvore energije jer se voda neprekidno obnavlja kroz svoj hidrološki ciklus. Republika Hrvatska njeguje dugu tradiciju iskorištavanja vodnih potencijala kroz niz hidroelektrana rasprostranjenih po čitavom teritoriju. Danas su hidroelektrane u Hrvatskoj zaslužne za većinu proizvedene električne energije. S ciljem optimalnog upravljanja i nadziranja, hidroelektrane u Hrvatskoj su svrstane u proizvodna područja te pripadajuće Centre proizvodnje. Proizvodno područje Zapad obuhvaća deset hidroelektrana u sklopu Glavnih hidroelektrana Vinodol, GHE Senj i GHE Gojak.

Abstract (english)

The exploitation of water potentials dates back several millennia. The construction of electric motors and water turbines enabled the efficient use of water for the purpose of obtaining electricity. It is hydropower plants that use the potential and / or kinetic energy of water and in which, regardless of the net drop in turbine and available water, there is a transformation of these forms of energy in mechanical, finally in electrical energy. Hydropower plants, ie hydropower, are renewable energy sources because water is constantly renewed throughout its hydrological cycle. The Republic of Croatia nurtures a long tradition of exploiting water potentials through a series of hydroelectric power plants spread throughout the territory. Today, hydropower plants in Croatia are responsible for most of the electricity produced. With the aim of optimal management and monitoring, hydropower plants in Croatia are classified in production areas that belong to the Production Center. The Region West production area includes ten hydropower plants within the Main Hydro Power Plants Vinodol, Senj and Gojak.
