Abstract

Cilj ovoga rada je prirediti furanske indanske i indenske derivate u jednom koraku termičkom reakcijom kako bi se izbjegli kompleksni reakcijski postupci pri čemu će se poseban naglasak dati na ispitivanje mehanizama reakcije računskim pristupom. Kao početni prekursor koristio se 5-metil-2-furilni derivat o-divinilbenzena koji je pripravljen Wittigovom reakcijom iz difosfonijeve soli α,α'-o-ksilendibromida i 5-metilfurfurala. Početni spoj podvrgnut je termičkoj reakciji u kiselom mediju pri čemu su nastala 4 nova produkta, ciklizacijski derivati I2 i J te indanski i indenski derivati G2 i H2. Svi spojevi su okarakterizirani i identificirani, te su na Institutu Ruđer Bošković provedeni kvantno-kemijski izračuni za svaki pojedini produkt u cilju istraživanja reakcijskih putova.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this research is to prepare furan indane and indene derivatives in one step by thermal reaction to avoid complex reaction procedures, with special emphasis on the analysis of reaction mechanisms given by quantum chemical calculations. 5-methyl-2-furyl derivative of o-divinylbenzene prepared by the Wittig reaction from the diphosphonium salt of
α,α'-o-xylenedibromide and 5-methylfurfural was used as a starting precursor. The starting compound was subjected to a thermal reaction in an acidic medium to give 4 new products, cyclization derivatives I2 and J, and indan and indene derivatives G2 and H2. All compounds were characterized and identified, and quantum chemical calculations were performed at the Ruđer Bošković Institute for each individual product in order to research the reaction pathways.
