Abstract

Prvi podaci o upotrebi biogoriva datiraju još u 19.stoljeću. Već tada ljudi su postali svjesni koliko fosilna goriva mogu naštetiti okolišu. U potrazi za alternativnim izvorima goriva i energije postali su sve više uključeni u sam proces proizvodnje goriva. Napretkom tehnologije proizvodnja biogoriva je postala široko dostupna i sve se više koristi. Osim što je jeftinija, upotreba biogoriva ne povećava koncentraciju stakleničkih plinova što je velika prednost. Jedna od prednosti je što se dosadašnja oprema može koristiti bez ikakvih preinaka jer su biogoriva dostojna zamjena fosilnim gorivima te neće doći do kvarenja strojeva. Nedostatak je što neke vrste biogoriva kao sirovinu koriste zalihe hrane što može dodatno naštetiti okolišu. Biogorivo još uvijek nije svima dostupno ali uz dobru opremu i točne informacije, može se proizvoditi na većim gospodarstvima kao vlastiti izvor energije. U ovom će radu biti objašnjene osnove u proizvodnji biogoriva.

Abstract (english)

First information about biofuels date back to the 19th century. Even then, people became aware of how much fossil fuels can affect the environment. In search of alternative sources of fuel and energy, they have become increasingly involved in the process of fuel production. With the advancement of technology, the production of biofuels has become widely available and is increasingly used. Apart from being cheaper, the use of biofuels does not increase the concentration of greenhouse gases which is a big advantage. One of the advantages is that the current equipment can be used without any modifications, because biofuels are a worthy replacement for fossil fuels and there will be no breakdown on equipment. The disadvantage is that some types of biofuels use food supply as a biomass, which can further harm the environment. Biofuels is still not available to everyone but with good equipment and accurate information, it can be produced on larger farms as its own energy source.
