Abstract

Fosforescencija je proces koji svakim danom sve više privlači pažnju jer ima veliki potencijal ugradnje i primjene u raznim novim uređajima i tehnologiji općenito. Ovaj proces još uvijek se smatra nedovoljno istraženim i sve mogućnosti njegove primjene nisu poznate, što daje veliki prostor znanstvenicima i inženjerima za buduća istraživanja. Kako bi se dotakli teme primjene fosforescencije u tehnologiji, prvo je potrebno razumjeti prirodu svjetla i tvari, principe i zakone fotokemije, a zatim i sam proces fosforescencije i svojstva fosforescentnih materijala. U ovom radu prikazane su i opisane neke poznatije i raširenije aplikacije fosforescencije, fosforescentnih materijala i fosforescentnih pigmenata kojima se predviđa velika komercijalizacija u budućnosti, a to su: OLED sustavi kod kojih su posebno zanimljivi OLED zasloni i OLED osvjetljenje te primjena fosforescentnih pigmenata u keramici i staklu.

Abstract (english)

Phosphorescence is a process that is attracting more and more attention every day because of its great potential for application in various new devices and technology in general. This process is still considered insufficiently researched and all the possibilities of its applications and use are still unknown, what gives large spaces to scientists and engineers for future research. In order to research the use of phosphorescence processes in technology, first it is necessary to understand the nature of light and matter and principles and laws of photochemistry. Only then can phosphorescence itself and properties of phosphorescent materials be studied. This paper presents some well-known and widepread applications of phosphorescence and phosphorescent materials and pigments which are predicted to be large commercialised in the future, and these are: OLED systems where OLED displays and OLED lighting are particulary interesting, and the use of phosphorescent pigments in ceramics and glass.
