Abstract

U ovom radu dan je teorijski pregled najnovijih istraživanja jamičaste korozije nehrđajućeg čelika u agresivnim atmosferama. Jamičasta korozija je znatan problem industrijskog i infrastrukturnog inženjerstva te je vrlo bitno razumjeti mehanizme korozije i načine na koje se ona može ublažiti. Također, vrlo je bitno znati procijeniti koju vrstu nehrđajućeg čelika odabrati u kojim uvjetima. U radu su pregledana tri novija znanstvena rada na temu ispitivanja jamičaste korozije. U njima je opisano korozijsko ponašanje u obalnim i morskim uvjetima te u zatvorenom bazenu. Opisano je nekoliko vrsta nehrđajućeg čelika te korozijsko ponašanje proizvoda napravljenih od njih. Prikazani slučajevi obuhvaćaju koroziju u različitim atmosferama te atmosferskim uvjetima, s razlikama u temperaturi, vlagi, koncentraciji određenih kemijskih tvari u zraku te ostalim parametrima koji utječu na korozijsko ponašanje. Kao glavni uzročnici jamičaste korozije u svom su proučenim radovima identificirani kloridi, a posebice su korozivne situacije u kojima dolazi do cikličkog vlaženja i sušenja površine, pri čemu dolazi do koncentriranja klorida na nehrđajućem čeliku.

Abstract (english)

This thesis provides a theoretical overview of the latest research on stainless steel pitting corrosion in aggressive atmospheres. Pitting corrosion is a significant problem in industrial and infrastructure engineering, and it is very important to understand the mechanisms of corrosion and how it can be mitigated. Also, it is very important to know what type of stainless steel to choose under specific conditions. This paper reviews three recent scientific papers on the subject of pitting corrosion. They describe the corrosion behaviour in coastal and marine atmospheres and in the atmosphere of an indoor swimming pool. Several types of stainless steel are described and the corrosion behaviour of products made from them. The cases presented cover corrosion in different atmospheres and atmospheric conditions, with differences in temperature, humidity, the concentration of certain chemicals in the air, and other parameters affecting the corrosion behavior. Chlorides have been identified as the main causative agents of pitting corrosion in the studied works, in particular corrosive situations in which cyclic wetting and drying of the surface occur that cause chloride concentrating on stainless steel.
