Abstract

U ovom radu prikazan je teorijski opis pojave fotoelektričnog učinka. Dan je povijesni pregled dostignuća, pokusa i objašnjenja istaknutih svjetskih fizičara koji su teorijski i praktično istraživali fotoelektrični učinak. Prikazana je primjena fotoelektričnog učinka koji je u velikoj mjeri prisutna na industrijskoj razini i svakodnevnom životu čovjeka. U radu je dan naglasak na primjenu fotoelektričnog učinka putem solarnih ćelija kao uređaja u kojima se energija sunčevog zračenja pretvara u električnu energiju. Dan je opis primjene fotoelektričnog učinka u foto-multiplikatorima i foto-detektorima. Prikazani su najznačajniji predstavnici
foto-detektora kao što su foto-otpornici, foto-diode, foto-tranzistori i foto-tiristori. Objašnjena je primjena fotoelektričnog učinka u foto-elektronskoj spektroskopiji i svjetlomjerima. U radu su također prikazani senzori slike i uređaji za noćni vid, čiji se rad zasniva na fotoelektričnom učinku.

Abstract (english)

This paper presents a theoretical description of the appearance of the photoelectric effect. Paper also present a historical overview of the achievements, experiments and explanations of word-renowned physicist who theoretically and practically investigated the photoelectric effect. This work show the application of the photoelectric effect, which is largely present at the industrial area and in everyday human life. Paper emphasizes the application of the photoelectric effect through solar cells devices in which the energy of solar radiation is converted into electrical energy. The application of the photoelectric effect in photomultipliers and photodetectors is described. The most important representatives of photo-detectors such as photo-resistors, photo-diodes, photo-transistors and photo-thyristors are presented. The application of the photoelectric effect in photo-electron spectroscopy and light meters is explained. The paper also presents image sensors and devices for night vision, whose operation is based on the photoelectric effect.
