Abstract

Otpadni gips spada u skupinu građevinskog otpada čije se količine svakoga dana sve više povećavaju. Glavni izvori nastajanja građevinskog otpada su: proizvodnja građevinskog materijala, novogradnja, obnavljanje, rušenje i raščišćavanje objekata te izgradnja i obnavljanje prometnica. Taj otpad potrebno je zbrinuti, a načini zbrinjavanja su ponovna uporaba, recikliranje, spaljivanje i odlaganje. Najveći dio građevinskog otpadnog materijala može se reciklirati. U ovome radu ću pokazati koji su načini recikliranja otpadnog gipsa, odnosno koje procese uključuje postupak recikliranja. Objasnit ću zašto je bitno da se otpadni gips reciklira, razlikuju li se svojstva komercijalnog gipsa i recikliranog te kako otpadni gips utječe na okoliš i ljudsko zdravlje.

Abstract (english)

Waste gypsum belongs to a group of construction waste whose quantity is every day more and more increasing. The main sources of construction waste are: production of construction materials, new construction, renovation or demolition and clearing facilities and the construction of roads and restoring roads. This waste should be taken care of, and methods of managing that waste are: reuse, recycling, incineration and disposal. Most of the construction waste material can be recycled. In this work, the methods of recycling waste gypsum, and the processes included in recycling process had been studied. The following topics were covered: why is it important to recycle waste gypsum, properties of commercial gypsum and recycled gypsum and in which way their properties are different and in the end how does waste gypsum effects on the environment and human health.
