Abstract

Ovaj završni rad daje sažet pregled općih svojstava te postupaka nastanka grafena kao i njegove primjene u inženjerstvu materijala. Cilj je primjene grafena poboljšanje svojstava različitih materijala. Grafen je jednoatomski monosloj grafita koji je alotropska modifikacija ugljika, dvodimenzionalna elementarna tvar izuzetno dobrih mehaničkih, toplinskih te električnih svojstava. Postupnim otkrivanjem njegovih fizikalnih svojstava, potencijalne primjene te tržišne perspektive, istraživači diljem svijeta sve se više bave grafenom. U radu će se teorijski prikazati primjena grafena na različite materijale i kako on utječe na poboljšanje materijala, te ukazati na moguće probleme.

Abstract (english)

This work gives a concise overview of general properties and processes for preparation of graphene and its application in engineering materials. The goal of application of graphene is to improve the properties of different materials. Graphene is a monoatomic monolayer of graphite, which is an allotrope modification of carbon. It is a two-dimensional elemental substance of extremely good mechanical, thermal and electrical properties. The gradual disclosure of its physical properties, potential applications and market prospects lead researchers around the world to become increasingly concerned with it. Based on this, this work will theoretically show application of graphene in a variety of materials, how it affects the improvement of material and what the problems are.
