Abstract

U ovom radu istražena je fotolitička razgradnja albendazola djelovanjem umjetnog Sunčevog zračenja. Osim izravne, istražena je i neizravna razgradnja ispitivanjem utjecaja huminskih kiselina (1, 5 i 10 mg L^-1), nitrata (1 i 3 mg L^-1), karbonata (80 i 420 mg L^-1) te utjecaj pH-vrijednosti (5, 7 i 9). Dobiveni rezultati pokazali su da je u svim eksperimentima došlo do smanjenja koncentracije albendazola na manje od 40 % početne vrijednosti unutar prvih 15 minuta sunčanja. Otopina huminskih kiselina koncentracije 10 mg L^-1 ima najveći utjecaj na povećanje vremena poluraspada albendazola, dok je vrijeme poluraspada bilo najkraće u otopini koncentracije 5 mg L^-1. Nitrati nisu imali značajan utjecaj na fotolitičku razgradnju albendazola, dok se u otopini karbonata vrijeme poluraspada povećalo. Kod ispitivanja utjecaja pH vrijednosti, pokazalo se da je vrijeme poluraspada najveće pri pH vrijednosti 5, a najmanje pri pH vrijednosti 7. Najveće smanjenje početne koncentracije albendazola uočeno je u otopini huminskih kiselina koncentracije 5 mg L^-1, a koncentracija albendazola na kraju eksperimenta iznosila je 9,87 % početne vrijednosti. Najmanje smanjenje izmjereno je u puferskoj otopini pH vrijednosti 7 s koncentracijom albendazola 41,53 % početne vrijednosti. Rezultati analiza su pokazali da izravna fotolitička razgradnja albendazola može biti značajan put smanjenja njegove koncentracije u okolišu. Važno je napomenuti da niti u jednom eksperimentu nije došlo do potpune razgradnje albendazola.

Abstract (english)

In this work photolytic degradation of albendazole was investigated under sumilated Solar radiation. Beside direct, indirect photolitic degradation was investigated in different solutions: MilliQ water, humic acids (1, 5 and 10 mg L^-1), nitrates solutions (1 and 3 mg L^-1), carbonates solutions ( 80 and 420 mg L^-1) and buffer solutions with pH-values of 5, 7 and 9. Results of photolytic degradation show that the concentration of albendazole was reduced more than 40 % in the first 15 minutes of radiation. The biggest increase of half-life of albendazole was observed in solution of humic acids with concentration of 10 mg L^-1 while the 5 mg L^-1 solution had the biggest effect on the decline of half-life. Compared to MilliQ water, in the presence of nitrates no significant effect on photolytic degradation of albendazole was observed. For carbonates, increasement of half-life of albendazole was determined. Investigating the effect of buffer solutions on the half-life of albendazole different effects was oserved; the buffer with the pH value 5 increased hal-lafie while the buffer with the pH value 7 reduced half laffe of photolytice degradation of albendazoleit. The biggest reduction of albendazole concentration was determined in the 5 mg L^-1 solution of humic acids, at the end of experiments albendazole concetration was 9,87 % of the starting value. The lowest reduction of concentration was detected in the buffer solution with the pH value 7, the final concentration was 41,53 % of the starting value. The results have showed that direct photolysis of albendazole can be a significiant elimination process for albendazole in the environment. It is is a major process in its degradation. In all experiments, complete degradation of albendazole was not obtained.
