Abstract

Industriju tanina karakterizira velika količina nastale otpadne vode za čiju obradu su se pogodnima pokazale membranske separacijske tehnologije. U ovome radu testirane su različite vrste ultrafiltracijskih i nanofiltracijskih membrana sa svrhom utvrđivanja njihove primjenjivosti u obradi voda. Cilj rada je odrediti učinkovitost različitih membrana za obradu otpadne vode tanina kao i mogućnost uklanjanja željeza iz otopine tanina. Promatrani parametri su ukupan organski ugljik, električna vodljivost i mutnoća na temelju čega se prema faktoru zadržavanja utvrđuje djelotvornost membrana. Najveći problem membranske separacije je blokiranje membrana. Pad fluksa membrana svjedoči o postojanju blokiranja membrana. Nanofiltracijske membrane su po svim promatranim parametrima djelotvornije u obradi otopine tanina u odnosnu na ultrafiltracijske membrane. Abstract (english)

The tannin industry is characterized by the large amount of wastewater and membrane separation have proven suitable for wastewater treatment. In this paper different types of ultrafiltration and nanofiltration membranes have been tested in order to determine their applicability in water treatment. The aim of this study is to determine the efficiency of different membranes for tannin wastewater treatment and the possibility of removing iron from tannin solution. The membranes are tested at... More different pressures in two types of memebrane devices. The observed parameters are total organic carbon, electrical conductivity and turbidity. Based on that parameters efficiency of the membranes is determined by the retention factor. The biggest membrane separation problem is membrane flouling and the membrane flux decline testifies the existence of membrane fouling. By all observed parameters nanofiltration membranes are shown to be more effective in the tannin solution treatment compared to ultrafiltration membranes. The results are promising and it is possible to apply membrane separation processes for the removal of pollutants from the wastewater of tannin industry. Less
