Abstract

U ovom radu razmatrana je mogućnost korištenja kolone s razdjelnom stijenkom (KRS) za tri proizvoda kao alternativa klasičnoj destilacijskoj koloni za dehidraciju bioetanola. Kolone s razdjelnom stijenkom imaju mogućnost provođenja separacije pod jednim plaštom i na taj način mogu se ostvariti znatne uštede prilikom proizvodnje. Radu se pristupilo na način da se prvo simuliralo i optimiziralo osnovno stanje. Nakon što je simulacija konvergirala, proračun se koristio za dimenzioniranje kolone, a zatim je isto napravljeno i za KRS. Simulacije su rađene unutar ChemCAD-a, a dimenzioniranje i procjena troškova unutar Excell-a. Delft model korišten je za procjenu pada tlaka strukturiranih punila, a Rix – Olujić metoda za procjenu pada tlaka unutarnje opreme. Iz rezultata se može zaključiti da se ostvaruju uštede korištenjem KRS-a u odnosu na konvencionalne metode kako u investicijskim tako i u pogonskim troškovima.

Abstract (english)

In this paper dividing wall column (DWC) was considered as an alternative to conventional distillation sequence for bioethanol dehydration. DWC can perform separations in one shell, which leads to significant savings. First, the base case was simulated and optimized. Converged detailed simulation was used for dimensioning collumn, after that, same was done for DWC. Both simulation were done using ChemCAD, dimensioning and cost estimation were done using Excell. Delft model was used for predicting pressure drop of structured packings and Rix – Olujić model for pressure drop estimation of column internals Results show that significant savings for both investment and operational costs and be made while using DWC.
