Abstract

U modernoj fizici teško je zamisliti ikakve interakcije bez prisutnosti međumolekulskih sila. Opisano je više vrsta ovakvog djelovanja među molekulama i čimbenici koji na njih utječu te kako one utječu na svijet oko sebe. Znanstvenici su postali svjesni njihove ogromne uloge te u zadnjih nekoliko desetljeća sve se više vremena posvećuje njihovom utjecaju na biologiju ljudi i životinja te na druge razne prirodne materijale. U sljedećim redcima čitatelj će biti upoznat s međumolekulskim silama te njihovom ulogom u biološkim sustavima. Bit će dan pregled kako te sile djeluju u živim i neživim uvjetima. Živi uvjeti podrazumijevaju proces adhezije u životinjskom svijetu i razne strukture biomolekula u biljkama, životinjama i ljudima. U neživim okolnostima naglasak će se staviti na proces dizajna lijekova, prirodne materijale poput gline i grafita te na kondenzaciju plinova u tekućine.

Abstract (english)

In modern physics, it is difficult to imagine any interactions without the presence of intermolecular forces. Several types of this action are described among the molecules and the factors that affect them and how one affects the world around them. Scientists have become aware of their enormous role in recent decades more and more time is being devoted to their impact on human and animal biology on other various natural materials. In the following lines, the reader will be introduced to intermolecular forces and their role in biological systems. An overview will be given of how these forces operate in living and non-living conditions. Living conditions include the process of adhesion in the animal world and the various structures of the biomolecule in plants, animals and humans. In inanimate circumstances, emphasis will be placed on the process of designing drugs, natural substances such as clay and graphite on the condensation of gases in liquids.
