Abstract

Ftalati su aditivi plastici koji se dodaju kako bi se osigurala njezina bolja mehanička svojstva. Razgradnjom plastike u okolišu nastaju čestice mikroplastike i nanoplastike koje postaju biopokretljive te uzrokuju velike i brojne probleme na cijeloj planeti Zemlji. Naime, sitne čestice plastike, uključujući i ftalate, ušle su u hranidbeni lanac i biogeokemijski ciklus te negativno utječu na rast, razvoj i zdravlje organizama. Ftalati uzrokuju ftalatni sindrom te kao endokrini disruptori negativno djeluju na endokrinološke sustave čovjeka i životinja. Primjerice, ftalati iz okoliša mogu kontaminirati hranu i hranom ući u hranidbeni lanac, pa postoji čitav niz poremećaja i bolesti koje mogu uzrokovati. Stoga je važno ispitati njihovu prisutnost u okolišu, vodi i namirnicama. Cilj ovih preliminarnih istraživanja je razviti metodu za određivanje bis(2-etilheksil) ftalata (BEHP), diizononil ftalata (DINP) i diizodecil ftalata (DIDP) tekućinskom kromatografijom visoke djelotvornosti (HPLC) i plinskom kromatografijom (GC).

Abstract (english)

Phthalates are additives to plastics that are added to integrate the better properties of plastic. The decomposition of plastics in environment, including microplastics and nanoplastics, causes major and numerous problems on planet Earth. Namely, fine plastics, including phthalates, enter the food chain and biogeochemical cycle and negatively effects the growth, development, and health of the organisms. Phthalates cause phthalate syndrome and act as endocrine disruptors on the endocrineological systems of humans and animals. For exemple, phthalates from enviroment can contaminate food and eneter the food chain, and cause a wide range of disorders and diseases. Therefore, it is important to test phthalates in environment, water and groceries. The topic of this preliminary paper is the development of methods for determination of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalates (BEHP), diisononyl phthalates (DINP) and diisodecyl phthalates (DIDP) high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC).
