Abstract

Danas su ideje očuvanja okoliša i održivog razvoja vrlo popularne i nužne u razvijenim zemljama. Iskorištavanje biomase je jedan od načina kako se mogu ostvariti te ideje. Zbog svoje dostupnosti i isplativosti, koristi se za dobivanje kemikalija koji se koriste u industriji. Povećanjem potrebe korištenja obnovljivih izvora energije, raste i korištenje biomase kao energent. Glavni razlog tome je korištenje fosilnih goriva u sve većim količinama, koji su štetni za okoliš zbog emisije stakleničkih plinova koji uzrokuju globalno zagrijavanje. U tu svrhu, biomasa se može različitim postupcima prevesti u kvalitetnije produkte, odnosno energente. Piroliza, kao postupak termičke razgradnje organske i anorganske tvari bez prisustva kisika, pokazala se kao uspješna metoda. U ovom radu su objašnjeni pojmovi pirolize i biomase. Prikazana je primjena pirolize i biomase u industriji. S obzirom da je pirolizom biomase moguće dobiti različite produkte, definirani su uvjeti u kojima je moguće dobiti određeni tip produkta kao i prikladni pirolitički reaktori. Prema definiranim parametrima pirolize, objašnjeni su tipovi pirolize, kao i produkti koje je moguće dobiti u svakom tipu.

Abstract (english)

Nowadays, the ideas of environment preservation and sustainable development are very popular and unavoidable in developed countries. One of the ways to achieve these goals is an usage of biomass. Due to its availability and cost-effectiveness, biomass is used for producing chemicals which are applied in industry. As the need to use renewable energy sources increases, so does the use of biomass as an energy source. The main reason for this is increasingly higher usage of fossil fuels, which are harmful for environment due to emissions of greenhouse gasses that cause global warming. For this purpose, biomass can be converted by various processes into higher quality products, energy sources. Pyrolysis, as the process of thermal decomposition of organic and inorganic matter without the presence of oxygen, has proven to be a successful method. In this work, terms of pyrolysis and biomass are explained. The application of pyrolysis and biomass in industry is presented. Considering possibility to obtain various products by pyrolysis of biomass; the conditions in which certain type of products is obtainable and appropriate pyrolytic reactor for the each type is defined. According to the defined parameters of pyrolysis, the types of pyrolysis are explained, as well as the products that can be obtained in each type.
