Abstract

Korozija od davnih vremena čovječanstvu predstavlja veliki problem zbog oštećenja metalnih konstrukcija kada su u interakciji sa okolinom. Upravo zbog tolike štetnosti i gubitaka istražuju se i usavršavaju različite metode zaštite od korozije. Zaštita premazima jedna je od osnovnih vrsta zaštite materijala i koristi se kod 75% svih konstrukcija. Proces korozije ne može se spriječiti, ali ga je moguće usporiti. Prema tome, s ciljem učinkovite zaštite od korozije potrebno je pažljivo uzimati u obzir vrstu materijala, njegovu primjenu u različitim vrstama medija i voditi računa o kvalitetnoj zaštiti kako bismo mogli konstrukcije što jednostavnije i jeftinije održavati. Zaštita primjenom premaza vrlo je zahtjevna, a tržište nam pruža vrlo velike mogućnosti odabira različitih vrsta i sustava premaza. Vrlo je važno da se konstrukcija zaštiti pravilnom metodom s obzirom na uvjete u kojima će biti izložena, te da se ta metoda provede na odgovarajući način bez negativnog utjecaja na okoliš. Time produljujemo vijek konstrukcije, smanjujemo rizik od nesreće i štedimo velika financijska sredstva. Cilj ovog rada je prikazati stanje tehnike zaštitnih premaza u novije vrijeme te prikazati njihove prednosti i nedostatke. Predstavljene su različite vrste boja i lakova prema hrvatskoj normi
HRN EN ISO 12944-5:2018 te njihove karakteristike ovisno o korozivnosti okoliša.

Abstract (english)

Corrosion from ancient times of mankind is a big problem due to damage to metal structures when they interact with the environment. Precisely because of so much damage and loss, various methods of corrosion protection are being researched and perfected. Coating protection is one of the basic types of material protection and is used in 75% of all constructions. The corrosion process cannot be prevented, but it can be slowed down. Therefore, in order to effectively protect against corrosion, it is necessary to carefully consider the type of material, its application in different types of media and take care of quality protection so that we can maintain structures as simply and cheaply as possible. Protection by applying coatings is very demanding, and the market offers us very large options for choosing different types and systems of coatings. It is very important that the structure is protected by the correct method with regard to the conditions in which it will be exposed, and that this method is carried out in an appropriate manner without negative impact on the environment. This prolongs the life of the construction, reduces the risk of accidents and saves large financial resources. The aim of this paper is to present the technique of protective coatings in recent times and to show their advantages and disadvantages. Different types of paints and varnishes according to the Croatian standard HRN EN ISO 12944-5: 2018 and their characteristics depending on the corrosivity of the environment are presented.
