Abstract

U ovom radu proučavao se utjecaj omjera oksidansa i goriva na krajnji produkt sinteze sagorijevanjem te karakteristike dobivenih praškastih uzoraka prije i nakon termičke obrade. Kao oksidans korišten je aluminijev nitrat nonahidrat, dok je glicin korišten kao gorivo te su sinteze provedene s ekvivalentnim omjerima goriva i oksidansa od 0.5:1, 1:1 i 1.5:1. Pripravljeni uzorci istraživani su diferencijalnom toplinskom i termogravimetrijskom analizom (DTA/TGA), rendgenskom difrakcijom praha (XRD) i infracrvenom spektroskopijom s Fourierovom transformacijom (FTIR) te su zatim termički obrađeni na 800 °C u trajanju od
2 sata. Obrađeni uzorci podvrgnuti su rendgenskoj difrakcijskoj analizi, pretražnoj elektronskoj mikroskopiji (SEM) te određivanju N2 adsorpcijsko-desorpcijskih izotermi i specifične površine Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) metodom. Utvrđeno je da za sve omjere goriva i oksidansa dolazi do kristalizacije γ-Al2O3. Nisu primijećene značajne razlike u kristaličnosti između uzoraka, dobiveni uzorci imaju šupljikavu i poroznu morfologiju, a najveću specifičnu površinu ima uzorak pripravljen s najmanje goriva.

Abstract (english)

In this study, the effect of the fuel to oxidizer ratio on the final product of combustion synthesis, as well as the characteristics of thermally treated samples were investigated. Aluminum nitrate nonahydrate was used as oxidant, while alanine was used as fuel. The samples were synthesized by using 0.5:1, 1:1 and 1.5:1 fuel to oxidizer equivalent ratios.
As-prepared samples were characterized using differential thermal and thermo-gravimetric analysis (DTA-TGA), powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). They were then thermally treated at 800 °C for 2 hours. The thermally treated samples were characterized using powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms and specific surface area by applying the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method. It was established that the crystallization of γ-Al2O3 occurs in all samples, regardless of the fuel to oxidizer ratio. Thermally treated samples have porous flake-like morphology, no significant differences in crystallinity were observed between the samples and the sample prepared with the smallest amount of fuel has the greatest specific surface area.
