Abstract

Cilj ovog rada bila je istražiti mogućnost modifikacije grafenovog oksida (GO) molekulama o-feniliendiamina (o-PDA) te naknadne polimerizacije vezanog o-PDA koja bi rezultirala nastankom oligomernih ili polimernih lanaca. U radu se također pratio utjecaj medija na vezanje o-PDA na GO elektrodu te je modifikacija provođena inkubacijom iz otopina različitih pH vrijednosti. Modifikacija grafenova oskida molekulama o-PDA se može odvijati putem različitih mehanizama koji uključuju kemijsku reakciju između karbonilnih skupina na GO i aromatske amino skupine o-PDA te fizikalno-kemijske faktore kao što su adsorpcija o-PDA na GO, njegova interkalacija između deponiranih slojeva ali i postojanje π-π interakcija se ne može isključiti. Svojstva modificiranih elektroda ispitivana su metodama cikličke voltametrije (CV) i elektrokemijske kvarc kristalne mikrovage (EQCM). Sva mjerenja su provedena u tro-elektrodnom sustavu u kojem je radna elektroda bila zlatom prekrivena kvarc kristalna elektroda, platina kao protu-elektroda i referentna Ag/AgCl elektroda. 1 M sumporna kiselina (H2SO4) je korištena kao elektrolit.

Abstract (english)

In this study an attempt was made to explore the possibility of modifying the graphene oxide with o-phenylenediamine molecules and subsequently polymerization of bound o-PDA that would result in oligomers or polymers chain formation. Also, the impact of media on binding of o-PDA on GO electrodes was monitored and modification was carried out by the incubation from the soulutions of different pH values. Graphene oxide modification with o-PDA can take place by different mechanisms which include chemical reaction between carbonyl groups of GO and aromatic amino grups of o-PDA and physical factors such as adsorption of o-PDA on GO and intercalation of o-PDA between deposited layers. Also, the presence of π-π interaction can not be excluded. In order to characterize modified electrodes, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) methods were used. All measurements were carried out with three-electrode system in the potential range -0,2 and 0,9 V at a scan rate of 50 mV/s, in which Pt was counter electrode, Ag/AgCl electrode served as reference electrode, and working electrode was gold covered quartz crystal electrode. 1 M sulfuric acid (H2SO4) was used as electrolyte.
