Abstract

Biološki hidroksiapatiti karakterizirani su slabom kristalnosti i nestehiometrijom jer u svojoj strukturi sadrže i ione koji imaju važnu ulogu u organizmu sisavaca. Zato su pojedinačno istraživane moguće supstitucije iona u kristalnoj rešetki hidroksiapatita te svojstva koje pojedini supstituent donosi. U ovom radu objašnjena je kristalna struktura hidroksiapatita, karakteristike koje ga čine jedinstvenim materijalom te načini njegove sinteze u laboratoriju. Objašnjena je i Rietveldova metoda kao najčešće korištena difrakcijska metoda pri strukturnoj karakterizaciji dobivenih uzoraka. Pojašnjen je mehanizam moguće supstitucije pojedinih iona te njihova uloga u organizmu kao i doprinos najčešćih susptituenata.

Abstract (english)

Biological apatites are characterized by poor crystallinity and non-stoichiometry due to the presence of significant amount of foreign ions. Because of that, it is individually researched possible substitutions in crystal lattice of hydroxyapatite and properties of substituent.. This paper explains crystal lattice of hydroxyapatite, properties which makes him unique material and his synthesis methods. Rietvelds method is explained as the most commonly used diffraction method for the structural characterization of samples. Mechanism of possible substitution of certain ions and their role in the body is explained and their role in the body as well as the contribution of the most common substituents.
