Abstract

U ovom radu opisana je karakterizacija RO i NF membrana, danas najnovijim i najtočnijim metodama. Uvid u površinsku strukturu membrana omogućava predviđanje njezinih separacijskih karakteristika i mogućnosti primjene. Rad daje pregled metoda kojima se karakteriziraju kemijska struktura, hidrofilnost, naboj i morfologija RO i NF membrana. To su: infracrvena spektroskopija, Raman spektroskopija, energetski disperzivna spektroskopija X – zrakama (EDS), fotoelektronska spektroskopija X – zrakama (XPS, ESCA), Auger elektronska spektroskopija (AES), sekundarna ionska masena spektroskopija (SIMS), mjerenje kontaktnog kuta, mjerenje tekućeg potencijala, elektrokemijska impedancijska spektroskopija (EIS), mjerenje potencijala membrane, titracija, optička mikroskopija, konfokalna skenirajuća laserska mikroskopija (CSLM), skenirajući elektronski mikroskop (SEM), prijenosna elektronska mikroskopija (TEM) i mikroskopija atomske sile (AFM). Ukazano je na zaštitu membrana od bioblokiranja, koje uzrokuje promjene protočnih i separacijskih karakteristika, te kako utjecati na rad membrana u kontaktu s organskim otapalima.

Abstract (english)

This work describes characterization of RO and NF membranes with today’s latest and most accurate methods. Insight in the surface structure of the membrane allows prediction its separation characteristics and applying possibility. This work gives overview of the methods with which chemical structure, hydrophilicity, charge and morphology of RO and NF membranes are characterized. Those are: infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy, energy-dispersive X – ray spectroscopy (EDS), X- ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS, ESCA), Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS), measurement of the contact angle, streaming potential measurement, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), membrane potential measurement, titration, optical microscopy, confocal scanning laser microscopy (CSLM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). It is pointed to protection of the membranes from biofouling, which causes changes in flow and separation characteristics and how to influence on membrane operation which are in contact with organic solvents.
