Abstract

Cilj rada je analizirati proces proizvodnje dušične kiseline, ukazati na probleme uzrokovane emisijom otpadnih plinova te sustavski obraditi tehnološke mogućnosti uklanjanja nastalih problema.
U radu je dan osvrt na dušičnu kiselinu, njene karakteristike kao i upotrebu, zatim je dan detaljan pregled postupaka proizvodnje dušične kiseline sa naglašenim prednostima i nedostacima. Najveći problem je nastajanje dušikovih oksida kao nusprodukata u proizvodnji dušične kiseline koji su štetni za ljudsko zdravlje i okoliš. Nakon što se navodi problem štetnosti dušikovih oksida, obrađuju se načini otklanjanja istih.
Jedan od mogućih načina za uklanjanje ovog problema je modifikacija primarnog katalizatora (katalitičkih mrežica) i upotreba sekundarnog katalizatora za termičku razgradnju N2O, u rektorima u kojima se odvija oksidacija amonijaka sa zrakom.
Za ogledni primjer u radu odabrano je postrojenje za proizvodnju dušične kiseline u Petrokemiji d.d. iz Kutine, za koje su prikazane mogućnosti uklanjanja dušikovih oksida iz otpadnih plinova. Za uklanjanje N2O primijenjene su primarne i sekundarne tehnologije, a za uklanjanje NOx ugrađena je jedinica za niskotemperaturnu selektivnu katalitičku redukciju. Na kraju su analizirani dobiveni rezultati emisije dušikovih oksida.

Abstract (english)

The aim of the study is to analyse the process of nitric acid production, to point out the problems caused by the emission of waste gases and systematically process technological possibilities of removing identified problems. The study presents an overview of nitric acid, its characteristics and use, detailed overview of its production, with prominent advantages and disadvantages. The biggest problem is the formation of nitric oxide as a by-product in the production of nitric acid, which is harmful to human health and to the environment. Once the problem of harmfulness of nitrogen oxides is stated, this study is analysing ways of eliminating it. One possible way to eliminate this problem is a modification of the primary catalysts (catalytic mesh) and the use of secondary catalyst for thermal decomposition of N2O, in reactors in which oxidation of ammonia with air takes place. As a demonstration example this study is observing production of nitric acid at Petrokemija ltd. Kutina plant, in which possibilities of removing nitrogen oxides from waste gases are presented. For the removal of N2O primary and secondary technologies are applied, while for removing NOx, unit for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction is built in. Finally, the study is analysing the results of nitrogen oxides emission.
