Abstract

Cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati fotoelektrokatalitička svojstva BVO i rGO-BVO elektroda elektrokemijskim metodama karakterizacije. Mjerenje je provedeno u otopinama salicilne, aminosalicilne, benzojeve kiseline te otopini fenola masenih koncentracija 35 mgL^-1,
7 mgL^-1 i 14 mgL^-1 te 0,1 mol dm^-3 otopini NaCl. Navedene otopine su ispitane kako bi se dobio uvid u utjecaj aromatskog prstena s nadomjesnim skupinama na fotokatalitičku aktivnost BVO i rGO-BVO elektroda. Na temelju dobivenih rezultata došlo se do zaključka da organski spojevi s elektro-donorskom skupinom povećavaju učinkovitost fotoelektrokatalitičkih procesa te da je za provedbu procesa potrebno uzeti optimalnu koncentraciju istih. Primjenom elektrokemijske impedancijske spektroskopije, kronoamperometrije, potencijala otvorenog kruga, Mott-Schottsky analize, linearne promjene potencijala i cikličke voltametrije ustanovljeno je da reducirani grafenov oksid povećava gustoću fotostruje više od deset puta te daje značajan doprinos u razvoju fotokatalitičkih sustava.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this study was to examine photoelectrocatalytic properties of BVO and rGO-BVO electrodes by electrochemical characterization methods. The measurement was performed in salycilic, aminosalicylic and bensoic acid and phenol solution with mass concentracions of
35 mgL^-1, 7 mgL^-1 and 14 mgL^-1 in 0,1 mol dm^-3 NaCl solution. These solutions were tested to gain insight into the influence of aromatic ring with different substituent groups on the photocatalytic activity of BVO and rGO-BVO electrodes. Based on the obtained results, it was concluded that organic compounds with an electro-donor group increase the efficiency of photoelectrocatalytic processes and that for the implementation of the process it is necessary to take the optimal concentration of the organic compound. By using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, chronoamperometry, open circuit potential, Mott-Schottsky analysis, linear sweep voltammetry and cyclic voltammetry, it was found that reduced graphene oxide increases the photocurrent density more than ten times and makes a significant contribution to the development of photocatalytic systems.
