Abstract

Onečišćenje vode teškim metalima danas je postao jedan od najozbiljnijih ekoloških problema u svijetu. Većina teških metala toksična je i kancerogena te predstavlja ozbiljnu prijetnju ljudskom zdravlju i vodenom okolišu. S ciljem zaštite okoliša i ljudi te zbog strogih propisa, primjenom različitih metoda nastoji se postići učinkovito uklanjanje teških metala iz otpadnih voda. More taloženje, koagulacija/flokulacija, flotacija, membranske metode, ionska izmjena i elektrokemijske metode, a u posljednje vrijeme istražuje se i upotreba adsorpcije kao učinkovite metode za smanjenje koncentracije teških metala u otpadnoj vodi. U preglednom dijelu opisan je proces uklanjanja metala različitim metodama. Prikazan je utjecaj različitih parametara kao što su pH, početna koncentracija metala i dr. na učinkovitost uklanjanja pojedinih teških metala. Prema literaturnim spoznajama možemo zaključiti da odabir najprikladnije metode ovisi o brojnim parametrima kao što su pH otopine, početna koncentracija metala i drugi. Less

Abstract (english)

Nowdays, contamination of water caused by heavy metals is one of the most serious environmental problem in the world. Most of the heavy metals are toxic or carcinogenic, so they represent a serious threat to the human health and the aquatic environment. In order to protect the environment and due to strict regulations, it is intented to achieve effective removal of heavy metals from the wastewater using different methods. The application of different methods for the removal of heavy metals... More from wastewater is discribed in this paper. Some of them are chemical precipitation, coagulation/flocculation, flotation, membrane filtration, ion exchange and electrochemical treatment. Recently, numerous approaches have been studied for using adsorption as effective method for decreasing a concentration of heavy metals in wastewater. In the review section, the process of removing by different methods is describes. The influence of different parameters such as pH, initial metal concentration etc. on the removal efficiency of some heavy metals is also represented. From literature data, it can be concluded that the selection of the most suitable method depends on many parameters, such as solution pH, initial metal concentration etc. Less
