Abstract

Značajne promjene su se dogodile posljednjih sedamdesetak godina u pogledu tipa i svojstava betona i njegovih sastavnih dijelova. Istraživanja su dovela do gotovo potpunog razumijevanja svojstava betonskih materijala, kao što su cement i agregati, kao i efekata koje ovi materijali imaju na karakteristike svježeg i očvrslog betona. Cement je osnovni i nezamijenjivi građevni materijal, dok je beton danas najšire upotrebljavani konstrukcijski materijal. Želja za napretkom je prirodna, ali takvim načinom rada došlo je i do brzog iscrpljivanja prirodnih resursa te ugrožavanja okoliša. Stoga briga za okoliš postaje nužnost za budućnost. U ovom radu smo htjeli dati pregled razvitka cementa i betona kroz godine.

Abstract (english)

Significant changes have taken place over the past seventy years in terms of the type and properties of concrete and its constituent parts. The research has led to almost complete understanding of the properties of concrete materials, such as cement and aggregates, as well as the effects these materials have on the characteristics of fresh and hardened concrete. Cement is a basic and irreplaceable building material, while concrete is today the most widely used construction material. The desire for progress is natural, but such a way of working has also resulted in rapid depletion of natural resources and environmental endangering. Environmental care therefore becomes a necessity for the future. In this paper we wanted to give an overview of the development of cement and concrete throughout the years.
