Abstract

U sklopu rada sintetizirani su novi derivati aminonaftalena 2-5, koji će se koristiti kao supstrati tijekom priprave fotoklonjivih zaštitnih skupina. Početni korak sinteze odnosi se na reakciju metiliranja aminonaftalena, kojom je dobiven N,N-dimetilaminonaftalen (1) u iskorištenju od 93 %. Nadalje, Vilsmeier-Haackovom reakcijom formiliranja spoja 1 dobivena je smjesa dva aldehida 3 i 4. Za daljnu sintezu odabran je dialdehid 4, koji redukcijom s natrijevim borhidridom daje dialkohol 5, koji se pokazao kao pogodan prekursor za pripravu odgovarajućih etera i estera.

Abstract (english)

This thesis describes the synthesis of aminonaphthalene derivatives 2-5, which are suitable precursors for the transformation to photocages. The first step includes the methylation of aminonaphthalene 1, whereby N,N-dimethylaminonaphthalene 2 has been obtained in 93 % yield. Vilsmeier-Haack reaction of N,N-dimethylaminonaphthalene 2 gave a mixture of two aldehydes 3 and 4. The dialdehyde 4 was chosen for further investigation and its reduction with sodium borohydride gave dialcohol 5, which is a suitable precursors in future synthesis of ethers and esters.
