Abstract

Umreženi polietilen sve više se upotrebljava u sustavu izolacije kabela prvenstveno zbog svojih dobrih mehaničkih i toplinskih svojstava. Izolacija od umreženog polietilena pokazuje dobru postojanost na vanjske čimbenike, dobar je izolacijski materijal te može podnijeti dosta visoke temperature a da ne dođe do razgradnje same izolacije (do 250 °C). U radu je istražen utjecaj dodatka katalizatora na svojstva izolacijskih smjesa. Svi uzorci dobiveni su postupkom ekstrudiranja pri različitim uvjetima. Jedan dio dobivenih uzoraka stavljao se u vodenu kupelj na 70 °C u kojoj su stajali 4 h kako bi se umrežavanje polietilena provelo do kraja, dok je drugi dio uzoraka ostavljen na zraku, te se pratilo kako polietilen umrežuje pod djelovanjem sunca. Mjerenje za uzorke ostavljene na zraku provodilo se svakih 7 dana tijekom 28 dana. Svojstva dobivenih uzoraka karakterizirala su se sljedećim tehnikama: Hot set testom pri 200 i 250 °C, mehaničkom kidalicom gdje se pratilo maksimalno naprezanje i istezanje te određivanjem sadržaja gela pomoću kojega se određivao udio umreženog polietilena. Iz dobivenih rezultata zaključeno je da je najbolji sustav i omjer osnovnog materijala i katalizatora za izolaciju 95% SXI008 + 5% CM009, dok je za plašt najpogodniji sustav i omjer osnovnog materijala i katalizatora 96,92% SXG011 + 2,08% CM010 + 1% IQAP BLACK.

Abstract (english)

Cross-linked polyethylene is increasingly used in cable insulation systems primarily due to its good mechanical and thermal properties. Cross-linked polyethylene insulation shows good resistance to external factors, a good insulation material can withstand a high temperature without degradation of the insulation itself (up to 250 °C). In this work the influence of additional catalysts on the insulation was investigate. All samples are prepared by extrusion at different conditions. One part of the samples is placed in a water bath at 70 °C for 4 hours to complete the crosslinking of polyethylene, while the other part of the samples was left on the air, and it was measured degree of crosslinking of polyethylene under the action of the sun. Measurement for samples left in the air was performed every 7 days for 28 days. The properties of the obtained samples were characterized as following: Hot set test at 200 and 250 °C, mechanical ripper where the maximum strain are monitored and determination of the gel content by which the content of crosslinked polyethylene is determined. From the obtained results it was concluded that the best system and ratio of base material and catalyst for insulation is 95% SXI008 + 5% CM009, while for the mantle is the best system and ratio of base materials and catalyst is 96.92% SXG011 + 2.08% CM010 + 1 % IQAP BLACK.
