Abstract

Farmaceutici su poznati po svojem velikom djelovanju i primjeni u liječenju i suzbijanju različitih bolesti, ali su prepoznati kao i nova vrsta zagađivala. Stoga je svrha ovog rada istražiti utjecaj organske tvari, kao jednog od parametara koji utječu na vezanje tvari na čvrstu fazu, na sorpciju triju različitih farmaceutika, u ovom slučaju memantina, cefdinira i prazikvantela na pet različitih vrsta tala i sedimenata s područja Hrvatske. Pomoću modela sorpcijskih izotermi opisani su afiniteti ispitivanih farmaceutika prema sorpciji preko pripadajućih konstanti. Linearni model sorpcijskih izotermi pokazao se najboljim, a njegov koeficijent raspodjele (Kd) pri sorpciji sva tri farmaceutika (memantina, cefdinira i prazikvantela) raste povećanjem udjela organske tvari. Također, koeficijent raspodjele temeljen na udjelu organskog ugljika (Koc), koji se preporučuje u opisivanju ponašanja farmaceutika u okolišu, pokazuje istu ovisnost.

Abstract (english)

Pharmaceuticals are known for their great effect and application in the treatment and suppression of various diseases. However, they are recognized as a new type of pollutant. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to investigate the influence of organic matter, as one of the parameters affecting the binding of the substance to a solid phase, to the sorption of three different pharmaceuticals (more specifically: memantine, cefdinir and praziquantel) in five different types of soil and sediments from Croatia. Using the sorption isotherms model, the affinities of the investigated pharmaceuticals are described by sorption through the corresponding constants. The linear model of sorption isotherms proved to be the best, and its distribution coefficient (Kd) at sorption all three pharmaceuticals (memantine, cefdinir and praziquantel) increased by increasing the proportion of organic matter. Furthermore, the organic carbon-normalised partition coefficient (Koc), which is recommended in describing the behavior of the pharmaceuticals in the environment, shows the same dependency.
