Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je proučavanje fotokemijskih i termičkih transformacija derivata β-supstituiranog 5-klortiofenskog derivata o-divinilbenzena 1 te β-supstituiranog 5-metiltiofenskog derivata o-divinilbenzena 2. Početni spojevi sintetizirani su Wittigovom reakcijom difosfonijeve soli α,α'-o-ksilendibromida s odgovarajućim aldehidom kao smjese cis- i trans- izomera u omjeru 4:6 nakon čega su podvrgnuti fotokemijskim ispitivanjima u kiselom mediju s ciljem dobivanja novih policikličkih struktura, pri čemu bi se ispitao i utjecaj pH na tijek fotokemijskih reakcija monotiofenskih derivata. Spojevi su podvrgnuti i termičkim ispitivanjima u neutralom i kiselom mediju kako bi se ispitao utjecaj supstituenta i pH na tijek termičke reakcije te kako bi se potvrdilo da dobiveni fotoprodukti nastaju samo uslijed pobuđenog stanja molekule.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this work is to study the photochemical and thermal transformations of the β-substituted 5-chlorothiophene derivative of o-divinylbenzene 1 and the β-substituted 5-methylthiophene derivative of o-divinylbenzene 2. The initial compounds were synthesized by the Wittig reaction of the diphosphonium salt α, α'-o-xylenedibromide and the corresponding aldehyde as a mixtures of cis- and trans-isomers in the ratio of 4:6, after which they were subjected to photochemical reaction in acidic medium to obtain new polycyclic structures. The effect of pH value on the course of photochemical reactions of would also be explored. The initial compounds were also subjected to the thermal reactions in neutral and acidic media to investigate the effect of the substituent and pH value on the course of the thermal reaction and to confirm that the obtained photoproducts could be formed only due to the excited state of the molecule.
