Sorpcija hidroksoklorokina na prirodne uzorke tla i sedimente

Abstract

Hidroksiklorokin je kemoteraputik koji se najčešće koristi kao antimalarik, a svrhu je našao i u liječenju i suzbijanju lupusa, reumatoidnog artritisa i porfirije. Kao i ostali farmaceutici, hidroksiklorokin uvelike može utjecati na okoliš, na tlo i žive organizme u njemu te tako onečistiti vodene ekosustave. Kako bi doprinijeli uklanjanju istih i saznali informacije o sudbini, utjecaju i transportu otpadnih farmaceutika u okolišu, koristimo proces koji se naziva sorpcija. U ovom radu ispitani su mehanizam i kinetika sorpcije, utjecaj ionske jakosti te utjecaj pH vrijednosti otopine hidroksiklorokina na prirodna tla i sedimente s područja Republike Hrvatske. Stoga su navedenim ispitivanjima određeni parametri sorpcije pomoću Tempkinove i Dubinin-Radushkevichove izoterme, pri čemu su eksperimentalni podaci pokazali najbolje slaganje s linearnim modelom (R^2>0,99). Brzina sorpcije najbolje je opisana kinetičkim modelom pseudo-drugog reda. Najviše vrijednosti koeficijenta sorpcije pokazuje uzorak tla Gračac i uzorak sedimenta Sava, dok najniže vrijednosti pokazuju uzorak tla Dolina, te uzorak sedimenta Glina. Nadalje, ispitivanjem utjecaja ionske jakosti i pH uočen je trend povećanja koeficijenta sorpcije (Kd) sa smanjenjem ionske jakosti otopine, kao i sa smanjenjem pH vrijednosti otopine.

Abstract (english)

Hydroxychloroquine is a chemotherapeutic agent most used as antimalarial drug, though it is also used for the prevention and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and porphyria. As well as other pharmaceuticals, hydroxychloroquine can greatly affect the environment, the soil and living organisms in it, thus polluting aquatic ecosystems. To contribute in removal of these pharmaceuticals and get the information about the fate, impact and transport in the environment, we use process called sorption. In this study, the subject of examination was the process of mechanism and sorption kinetics, the impact of ionic strength and the influence of pH value of hydroxychloroquine solution on natural soil and sediments from the Croatian territory. Therefore, sorption parameters were determined with Temkin and Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherms, using the studies stated above, where the experimental data have shown best concurrence with the linear model (R^2>0,99). The rate of sorption is the best described with the kinetic model of pseudo-second order. The highest values of sorption coefficient (Kd) show a sample of soil Gračac and sample of sediment Sava, while the lowest values indicate a sample of soil Dolina and sample of sediment Glina. Furthermore, by examining the influence of ionic strength and pH, there has been noticed a trend of increasing sorption coefficient with decreasing ionic strength and pH value.
