Abstract

Cilj ovog rada je bio ispitati mogućnost zaštite korodiralih površina pomoću dugolančanih organskih kiselina. Eksperiment se proveo u simuliranoj morskoj vodi, odnosno 3%-tnoj otopini NaCl. Ispitivane su Cu/Ni elektrode koje su najprije bile izložene korozivnom mediju a potom se formirao film dugolančanih organskih kiselina uranjanjem u etanolne otopine 0,01M stearinske odnosno oktadecilfosfonske (ODPA) kiseline. Rezultati korozijskih ispitivanja provedenih linearnom polarizacijom, elektrokemijskom impedancijskom spektroskopijom te Tafelovom ekstrapolacijom, pokazuju kako se korodirale površine mogu zaštiti pomoću navedenih kiselina budući da im je otpornost prema koroziji veća nego kod netretiranih površina. Usporedbom rezultata dobivenih za filmove stearinske i oktadecilfosfonske kiseline utvrđeno je da filmovi ODPA pružaju bolju korozijsku zaštitu.

Abstract (english)

The aim of this study was to examine the possibility of protecting corroded surfaces by utilizing long-chain organic acids. The experiment was conducted in simulated sea water, i.e. in a 3% NaCl solution. Cu/Ni electrodes, which were first exposed to the corrosive medium, were tested. After the formation of a film of long-chain organic acids, the electrodes were immersed in a 0.01M ethanolic solution of stearic and octadecylphosphonic (ODPA) acid. The results of the corrosion tests carried out by linear polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and the Tafel extrapolation have shown that the corroded surfaces can be protected by the above listed acids since their corrosion resistance is higher than that of non-treated surfaces. By comparing the results obtained from the films of stearic and octadecylphosphonic acid it has been found that ODPA films provide better corrosion protection.
