Abstract

Glavni zadatak graditeljstva je održivost te se nastoje sve više koristiti održivi građevinski materijali izrađeni od obnovljivih izvora među koje spadaju i drvna vlakna. Upravo iz tih razloga, cement se pojačava drvnim vlaknima kako bi mu se poboljšala mehanička svojstva. Cementni kompoziti s drvnim vlaknima su posebni po svojim strukturnim i izolacijskim svojstvima, kao i zbog dimenzijske stabilnosti, ekonomskih faktora i otpornosti na smanjenje kakvoće uslijed djelovanja okoline. Drvna vlakna se vežu sa cementnom matricom tijekom hidratacije cementa i imaju znatan utjecaj na savojnu čvrstoću i žilavost nastalog kompozita . Ovisno o načinu dobivanja drvnih vlakana i njihovom tretiranju, moguće je dodatno poboljšati svojstva kompozita. Vlakna su osjetljiva na promjenu vlage te njenim povećanjem gube krutost i postaju rastezljiva.

Abstract (english)

Tthe main task of construction is sustainability and because of that there is a constant try to use sustainable building materials, among which wood fibers are included. For these reasons, cement is reinforced with wood fibers to improve its mechanical properties. Wood fiber-cement composites are special for their structural and insulation properties, as for their dimensional stability, economic factors and environmental degradation. Wood fibers are bonded with the cement matrix during hydration of cement and have a significant effect on the flexural strength and toughness of the resulting composites. Depending on the method of obtaining wood fibers and their treatment, it is possible to further improve the properties of the composite. The fibers are sensitive to humidity and with the increase of it, the fibers lose their stiffness and become more ductile.
