Abstract

S ciljem proučavanja utjecaja piridinske jezgre na fotokemijske transformacije diheterostilbenskih derivata, Wittigovom reakcijom sintetizirani su novi spojevi 3,3'-(o-fenilendivinilen)dipiridin (1) i 4,4'-(o-fenilendivinilen)dipiridin (2) kao smjese geometrijskih izomera. Iz smjese izomera kolonskom i tankoslojnom kromatografijom uspješno su izolirani cis,cis-, cis,trans- i trans,trans-izomeri te su u potpunosti spektroskopski opisani. U svrhu priprave novih bicikličkih struktura sintetizirani izomeri podvrgnuti su fotokemijskim osvjetljavanjima na 300 nm u različitim vremenskim periodima. Početni spojevi dali su, kao produkte, nestabilne intermedijere koji se brzo raspadaju te ih stoga nije bilo moguće izolirati. Svi izomeri polaznih spojeva 1 i 2 okarakterizirani su spektroskopskim metodama. Korištene su jednodimenzionalne i dvodimenzionalne 1H i 13C NMR tehnike, te UV/Vis spektrofotomerija.

Abstract (english)

With the aim of studying the influence of a pyridine core on photochemical transformations of diheterostilbene derivates, new compounds of 3,3'-(o-phenylendivinilene)dipyridine (1) and 4,4'-(o-phenylendivinilene)dipyridine (2) were synthesized, by Wittig reaction, as mixtures of geometric isomers. Cis,cis-, cis,trans- and trans,trans-isomers were successfully isolated by column and thin-layer chromatography and were completely spectroscopically characterized. For the purpose of preparing the new bicyclic structures synthesized isomers were subjected to irradiations at 300 nm at different time periods. The starting compounds gave unstabile intermediates which rapidly disintegrated and therefore could not be isolated. Initial compounds 1 and 2 were characterized by various spectroscopic methods. One-dimensional and two-dimensional 1H i 13C NMR techniques, UV/Vis spectrophotometry were used.
