Abstract

Kako bi se postigli propisani standardi kvalitete biodizela potrebno je nakon sinteze provesti i njegovo pročišćavanje. Pri tome se koriste različite metode pročišćavanja kojima je cilj, uz postizanje zadovoljavajuće kvalitete goriva, i očuvanje okoliša, što u konačnici otvara mogućnost zamjene konvencionalnog dizela s biodizelom. Proizvodnjom biodizela dolazi do nastanka produkta koji sadrži onečišćenja neprihvatljiva za upotrebu u dizelskim motorima. Nakon razdvajanja sirovog biodizela od nusprodukata, biodizel i dalje sadrži tragove onečišćenja koji se moraju ukloniti, pri čemu se sve više koriste napredni separacijski procesi. Kao metode pročišćavanja biodizela u ovom radu opisani su suho ispiranje, membranske tehnologije i ekstrakcija. Osim ovih separacijskih procesa, ukratko je spomenuta i metoda ispiranja vodom, koja se kao metoda pročišćavanja biodizela danas više ne preporuča. Usporedbom opisanih metoda pokazano je da je ekstrakcija najučinkovitija metoda pročišćavanja biodizela s najvećim potencijalom primjene u budućnosti.

Abstract (english)

In order to achieve prescribed biodiesel quality standards, it is necessary to carry out its purification after the synthesis. During the process, various different methods of purifications are used to achieve satisfactory fuel quality and to preserve the environment, which in the end opens up the possibility of replacing conventional diesel fuel with biodiesel. Production of biodiesel results in formation of a product that contains pollutants that are unacceptable to use in diesel engines. After the separation of crude biodiesel from the byproducts, biodiesel still contains traces of pollutants that need to be removed with advanced separation processes that are increasingly used. In this paper, as biodiesel purification methods, dry rinse, membrane technology and extraction are described. In addition to these separation processes, the water-washing method is briefly mentioned, which today is no longer recommended as a biodiesel purification method. Comparison of described methods showed that extraction is the most efficient method of biodiesel purification with greatest potential for future use.
