Abstract

U sklopu diplomskog rada studija ekoinženjerstva izrađen je uređaj za demonstraciju i mjerenje Joule-Thomsonovog efekta koji se javlja prigušivanjem realnih plinova. U prvom dijelu rada je dan pregled termodinamičkih osnova nužnih za opis Joule-Thomsonovog efekta. Nakon toga je opisan eksperimentalni rad gdje je naglasak na izvedbi aparature i mjerenju fizičkih veličina: temperature i tlaka, tj. svojstava zraka kao realnog plina prije i nakon prigušivanja.Za mjerenje temperature uporabljeni su termoparovi, a temperatura je mjerena i NTC otpornicima (termistorima) spojenim u Wheatstoneov most. Joule-Thomsonov efekt nastaje radi interakcije između čestica plina te govori o odstupanju plina od ponašanja idealnog plina koji ne pokazuje ovaj efekt.

Abstract (english)

In this work, an apparatus for demonstration and measurement of the Joule-Thomson effect (occurring by throttling of real gases) had been developed. The first part of the paper gives an overview of the thermodynamic bases necessary for the description of the Joule-Thomson effect. After that, the experimental work is described where the emphasis is on the performance of the apparatus and the measurement of physical quantities: temperature and pressure, ie the properties of air as a real gas before and after throttling process. Thermocouples were used to measure the temperature, and the temperature was also measured with NTC resistors (thermistors) connected to the Wheatstone bridge. The Joule-Thomson effect occurs due to the interaction between gas molecules and shows the deviation of the gas from the behavior of an ideal gas that does not show this effect.
