Abstract

Polimerni kompoziti danas predstavljaju skupinu materijala koji pronalaze vrlo široku primjenu. Njihov razvoj i neka buduća primjena nisu mogući bez karakterizacije. Između ostalih, reološke karakteristike materijala predstavljaju glavne čimbenike za njegovu buduću specifičnu primjenu. U ovom radu ispitivana su reološka svojstva polivinil acetatne disperzije, uz dodatak različitih masenih udjela (φ = 1, 3 i 5 %) punila. Korišteno je sintetsko nanopunilo pirogena silika obrađene i neobrađene površine, a viskoznost PVAc disperzije te kompozitnih sustava PVAc/nano-SiO2 određivana su na reometru RheolabQC. Rezultati su pokazali da dodatak punila povećava viskoznost PVAc disperzije te da viskoznost ovisi o koncentraciji i obradi površine punila. Reološko ponašanje polimernih kompozita u ovisnosti o temperaturi u skladu je s dosadašnjim saznanjima; povišenjem temperature dolazi do smanjenja viskoznosti.

Abstract (english)

Today, polymer composites represent a group of widely used materials. Their development and future usage are not possible without characterization. Among other properties, rheological properties of the material are the main factors for its future specific application. In this paper, rheological properties of polyvinyl acetate dispersion with the addition of different weight ratio (φ = 1, 3 and 5%) of fillers were studied. Synthetic pyrogenic silica without and with surface modification nanofillers were used. Viscosity of PVAc dispersion and PVAc/nano-SiO2 composite systems were measured on the rheometer RheolabQC. The results showed that the addition of the filler increases viscosity of the PVAc dispersion and that viscosity depends upon the concentration and surface modification of the filler. The influence of the temperature on the rheological behavior of polymer composites is in accordance with the present knowledge. So, a rise of temperature causes viscosity decreases.
