Abstract

Svjedoci smo sve izraženijih klimatskih promjena i posljedično prirodnim katastrofama koje su uzrokovane nebrigom za okoliš kroz proteklih dvije stotine godina. U ovom radu analizirano je postojeće energetsko i ekološko stanje preko posljedica prve i druge industrijske revolucije. Posljedice prve industrijske revolucije, u smislu njenog djelovanja na okoliš, puno su poznatije jer je ona u potpunosti završila, dok su posljedice na okoliš druge industrijske revolucije još nepoznate jer u energetsko - ekološkom smislu i dalje živimo u vremenu druge industrijske revolucije i izuma Nikole Tesle. Najveći problem prve i druge industrijske revolucije su visoke koncentracije ugljičnog dioksida (CO2) u atmosferi. U smislu rješenja tog problema, očuvanja okoliša i smanjenja ugljičnog dioksida (CO2), u ovom radu je prikazana i radikalno nova tehnologija nazvana „Seawater Steam Engine“ koja bi trebala biti pokretač treće industrijske revolucije. Predloženom tehnologijom istovremeno bi se dobivala i energija i pitka voda korištenjem triju prirodnih sila: obnovljivih izvora energije, morske vode i gravitacije, a minimalno proizvedene količine ugljičnog dioksida (CO2) omogućile bi zaustavljanje klimatskih promjena. „Seawater Steam Engine“ je jedina tehnologija koja nudi konkretan način na koji bi se naselja/gradovi opskrbljivali energijom i pitkom vodom iz obnovljivih izvora energije, potpuno neovisno o vanjskim utjecajima tijekom cijele godine i omogućava realizaciju održivih zajednica. Iz analize rezultata pojedinačne i kumulativne potrošnje fosilnih goriva (ugljen, nafta i prirodni (zemni) plin) te pripadajuće emisije ugljičnog dioksida (CO2), može se zaključiti da će klimatske promjene biti iz godine u godinu sve veće te da se čovječanstvo nalazi pred ozbiljnim izazovima. Nova tehnologija prikazana u ovom radu ima potencijal zaustavljanja klimatskih promjena, a samo o nama ovisi da li ćemo tu priliku i iskoristiti.

Abstract (english)

We are witnessing more and more pronounced climate change and the consequent natural disasters that have been caused by environmental damage over the past two hundred years. This thesis analyzes the existing energy and ecological status as a result of the first and second industrial revolution. The consequences of the first industrial revolution, in terms of its environmental impact, are much better known as it has completely ended, while the consequences for the environment of the second industrial revolution are still unknown because in the energy - ecological sense we continue to live in the time of the second industrial revolution and the invention of Nikola Tesla. The biggest problem of the first and second industrial revolutions is the high concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere. For the purpose of solving this problem, environmental protection and carbon dioxide reduction (CO2), a radically new technology called „Seawater Steam Engine“, which should be the mover of the third industrial revolution, is presented in this paper. The proposed technology would simultaneously generate both energy and drinking water by using three natural forces: renewable energy sources, sea water and gravity, and minimally produced amounts of carbon dioxide (CO2) to stop the climate change. "Seawater Steam Engine" is the only technology that provides a concrete way for settlements/cities to supply energy and water from renewable energy sources, totally independent of external influences throughout the year, and enables the realization of sustainable communities. From the analysis of the results of individual and cumulative consumption of fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas) and the associated carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, it can be concluded that climate change will increase year by year and that humanity will be facing serious challenges. The new technology outlined in this paper has the potential to stop climate change and only depends on us whether we will use that opportunity and use it.
