Abstract

Visoka hidrofobnost organskog alifatskog polimera PCL-a i antibakterijska svojstva anorganskog ZnO punila nano veličine omogućavaju dobivanje materijala specifičnih svojstava. U ovom radu istražena su svojstva nanokompozita na osnovi poli(ε-kaprolaktona) i nano-ZnO punila kao prevlaka za metale. PCL matrica i PCL/ZnO nanokompoziti pripravljeni su zamiješavanjem različitih koncentracija punila u otopini uz otapalo kloroform. Ispitivanja su provedena na metalnim pločicama: čelika, bakra i aluminija neobrađene i stearatom obrađene površine prije nanašanja prevlake. Cilj ovog rada bila su istraživanja morfologije površine, toplinskih, mehaničkih i elektrokemijskih svojstava PCL/ZnO nanokompozita kao prevlaka za metale. OM, SEM i AFM mikroskopije korištene su za karakterizaciju površine – proučavana je morfologija i topografija površine. Utvrđene su značajne promjene morfologije, toplinskih, mehaničkih i elektrokemijskih svojstava uvjetovanih dodatkom nanočestica ZnO.

Abstract (english)

High hydrophobicity of the organic aliphatic PCL polymer and the antibacterial properties of inorganic ZnO nano size fillers enable obtaining materials of specific properties. The research has been done about the properties of nanocomposites on the basis of poly (ε-caprolactone) and nano-ZnO fillers as metal coatings. PCL matrix and PCL/ZnO nanocomposites were prepared by mixing filler of different concentrations in solution with a chloroform as a solvent. Tests were performed on metals: steel, copper and aluminum, untreated and stearate-treated surfaces before application of the coating. The aim of this paper was to investigate the surface morphology, thermal, mechanical and electrochemical properties of PCL/ZnO nanocomposites as metal coatings. OM, SEM and AFM microscopy were used for characterization of the surface – morphology and surface topography. Significant changes in morphology, thermal, mechanical and electrochemical properties were determined by the addition of ZnO nanoparticles.
