Abstract

U ovom radu bilo je potrebno ispitati i usporediti svojstva Hempaprime Multi 500 i Hempadur Mastic 4588W premaza sušenih infracrvenim zračenjem (IC) i premaza osušenih na sobnoj temperaturi. Uz to, cilj ovog rada bio je ispitati rad ReCorr QCQ senzora za kontinuirano praćenje djelotvornosti zaštitnog premaza. Kroz period od 23 dana, ReCorr QCQ uređajem provodila se EIS metoda kojom se mjerila impedancija premaza, a radi usporedbe rezultata, premazi su se testirali DSC uređajem kojim se određuje staklište, ATR-FTIR uređajem kojim se snima apsorpcijski spektar i pull-off testom kojim se određuje prionjivost premaza. lz DSC rezultata vidljivo je da IC zračenje povećava/smanjuje staklište premaza što znači da je drugačija struktura i stupanj polimerizacije/očvršćivanja premaza. Rezultati FTIR-ATR potvrdili su različitu strukturu premaza koji su atmosferski sušeni i onih koji su sušeni IC zračenjem. Pull-off testom pokazano je da tako drugačije dobivena struktura IC sušenih premaza dovodi do veće adhezije na metalnu podlogu što povećava zaštitu od korozije. EIS rezultatima pokazano je da IC zračenje doista povećava zaštitu od korozije što se očituje u izmjerenim većim vrijednostima impedancije, a izvrsnu djelotvornost premaz postiže već prvi dan nanošenja. Korištenje IC zračenja umjesto uobičajenog atmosferskog sušenja premaza ima veliki potencijal za upotrebu u industriji zbog toga što se vrijeme sušenja značajno smanjuje i djelotvornost premaza se povećava, a ne zahtjeva skupe instalacije. Unatoč prednostima, potrebno je detaljno istražiti utjecaj IC zračenja na pojedini premaz zbog razlika u strukturi koje dovode do različite apsorpcije zračenja. Mjerenje impedancije s ReCorr QCQ uređajem pokazalo se kao jednostavan i praktičan postupak za kontinuirano praćenje ponašanja premaza čime se može ispitivati djelotvornost i određivati stupanj polimerizacije/očvršćivanja premaza.

Abstract (english)

The task of this paper was to examine and compare the properties of Hempaprime Multi 500 and Hempadur Mastic 4588W coatings dried by infrared radiation (IR) and coatings dried at room temperature. Also, the goal of this work was to examine the performance of the ReCorr QCQ sensor for continuous monitoring of protective coating efficiency. Over a period of 23 days, the ReCorr QCQ device is used to perform the EIS method, which measures the impedance of the coating, and to compare the results, the coatings are tested with a DSC device, which determines the glass transition point, an ATR-FTIR device, which records the absorption spectrum, and a Pull-off test, which determines the adhesion of the coating. The DSC results show that IR radiation increases/decreases the glass transition point of the coating, which means that the structure and curing degree of the coating is different. The results of FTIR-ATR confirmed the different structures of dried coatings. The pull-off test showed that the different structure of IR-dried coatings leads to greater adhesion to the metal substrate, which increases protection against corrosion. The EIS results showed that IR radiation indeed increases the protection against corrosion, which is reflected in the measured higher impedance values, and the excellent efficiency of the coating is achieved already on the first-day of application. The use of IR radiation instead of the usual atmospheric drying of coatings has great potential for use in the industry because the drying time is significantly reduced, the efficiency of the coating is increased, and it does not require expensive installations. Despite the various advantages, it is necessary to investigate the influence of IR radiation on each coating due to differences in structure that lead to different absorption of IR radiation. Measurement with the ReCorr QCQ device proved to be a simple and practical procedure for continuous monitoring of the behavior of the coating, which can test the efficiency of the coating and determine the degree of polymerization/curing.
