Abstract

Razvojem novih materijala, krajem dvadesetog stoljeća došlo se do otkrića mezoporozne silike. Mezoporozna silika ističe se zbog karakteristične velike specifične površine, izvrsne biokompatibilnosti te umreženih pora. Također se odlikuje kontroliranim i ciljanim otpuštanjem tereta pohranjenih unutar pora. Pri različitim uvjetima sinteze, dobivaju se različite vrste mezoporozne SiO2 koji se razlikuju po strukturi i morfologiji. U ovom radu obrađeno je istraživanje u okviru kojega su ispitani utjecaji komponenata prilikom sinteze mezoporozne silike sol-gel metodom, na strukturu i morfologiju materijala. Promjene u strukturi za rezultat daju različita svojstva čime se omogućava šira potencijalna primjena. Mezoporozna silika najčešće se upotrebljava kao sustav isporuke lijekova, pri imobilizaciji enzima i pročišćavanju otpadnih voda.

Abstract (english)

The development of new materials, at the end of the twentieth century led to the discovery of mesoporous silica. Mesoporous silica stands out due to its characteristic large surface area, excellent biocompatibility, and cross-linked pores. Also it is characterized by both controlled and targeted release of cargo stored inside the pores. Under different synthesis conditions, new types of mesoporous SiO2 was developed that differed in structure and morphology. This paper deals with the research in which the influences of the components during the synthesis of mesoporous silica by the sol-gel method on the structure and morphology of the material were examined. Changes in the structure result in different properties, allowing wider potential application. Mesoporous silica is mostly used as a drug delivery system, for enzyme immobilization and wastewater treatment.
