Abstract

Sredstva za vezivanje predstavljaju molekulske mostove na međupovršini između dvije faze, kao na primjer anorganskog punila i organske matrice u polimernim kompozitima ili podloge i premaza. Na taj način poboljšava se adhezija između mineralnih punila i polimera ili podloge i premaza i to sniženjem međupovršinske energije, a kod kompozita dodatno i smanjenjem aglomeracije čestica punila što poboljšava njihovu dostupnost molekulama polimera. U primjeni za različite namjene kao sredstva za vezivanje najčešće se koriste organosilani i organometalna sredstva kao što su titanati (ili cirkonati). U ovom radu dan je pregled silanskih i titanatnih sredstava za vezivanje. Provedena su istraživanja površinskih i toplinskih svojstava tri vrste silana, γ-aminopropiltrietoksisilana (γ-APTES), γ-metakriloksipropiltrietoksisilana (γ-MPS) i γ-aminopropiltriolsilana (γ-APS). Strukturna i površinska svojstva istražena su primjenom FTIR-ATR spektroskopije i mjerenjem kontaktnog kuta na goniometru, a toplinska svojstva istražena su primjenom diferencijalne pretražne kalorimetrije (DSC) i termogravimetrijske analize (TGA). Utvrđena je značajna razlika svojstava silana ovisno o njihovoj strukturi.

Abstract (english)

Coupling agents are molecular bridges at the interface between two phases such as the inorganic filler and the organic matrix in polymer composite or between the substrate and the coating. This improves adhesion between the mineral filler and the polymer or between the substrate and the coating by reducing interfacial energy. Furthermore, adhesion in composites is improved by reducing agglomeration of filler particles which improves their availability to polymer molecules. Coupling agents can be used for various purposes. Organosilanes and organometallic agents such as titanates (or zirconates) are some of the most frequently used ones. This paper provides an overview of silane and titanate coupling agents. This research included analysis of surface and thermal properties of three types of silane, γ-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (γ-APTES), γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (γ-MPS) and γ-aminopropylsilanetriol (γ-APS). Structural and surface properties were investigated using FTIR-ATR spectroscopy and contact angle measurements on the goniometer. Thermal properties were inestigated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Significant differences in silane properties were obsereved depending on their structure.
